Did you know? TWD provides Independent Engineering services to assess the technical and financial merits and performance of a project.

TWD is proud to be supporting the development of a state-of-the-art malic and food-grade fumaric acid production plant that will become the world’s largest when commissioned in 2023. The new facility will also be expandable to produce new products such as buffer and fortification salts and additional volumes of malic and fumaric acid in the future.

TWD is working as an Independent Engineer on behalf of the project owners providing project financing for the project. TWD’s prime role as an Independent Engineer has included the following:

• Complete preliminary assessment of project information
• Complete pre-construction due diligence (e.g., construction readiness) to ensure that the project budget is reasonable and realistic for all items, as well as to ensure that all necessary project documentation is in place (e.g., permits, bonds, insurances, technical specifications, soils and environmental reports, contracts, project schedule, cash flow projections, etc.)
• Complete an assessment of the capital cost of the project and value of work in place and the cost to complete prior to recommendation of each progress payment
• Provide periodic progress reviews, reporting any development which may have negative impact on the project budget and schedule and suggest ways and means to mitigate these risks
